Data Analyst en Producers Direct

Producers Direct is an award winning organisation led by farmers, for farmers. We operate globally with offices in Kenya, Peru and London, working through a network of producer organisations across East Africa and Latin America. We have been awarded grants by leading institutions such as the GIZ, IDB and WFP to create digital tools and data systems to help farmers access markets and data. Through this work we are collecting and integrating multiple sources of data.

We are seeking a passionate, early career Data Analyst to help us with organising, cleaning and analysing this data and to then use this data to create dashboards on Tableau to provide insights and track indicators across the team. This is a great opportunity to use your skills as a data analyst to have a positive social impact with a small organisation using data to support smallholder farmers.

Goal: Work with the Head of Information to clean and organise data from a centralised database, and create data visualisations and dashboards in Tableau to track performance management, organisation wide KPIs, and impact.

Key tasks include:

• Use Tableau to do data analysis and create data visualisations for team members and stakeholders
• Identify, collect and migrate data to and from a range of systems
• Manage, clean, abstract and aggregate data alongside a range of analytical studies on that data
• Manipulate and link data sets from different sources
• Summarise and present data and conclusions in accessible dashboards for various users (board, management, partners, youth agents, farming cooperative)

Qualities/Qualifications:

• Fluency in written and spoken English (knowledge of Spanish or Swahili a plus)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to compile user research results and communicate learnings from the field
• at least 1 years experience working as a data analyst or equivalent role / experience
• Knowledge of SQL and (ideally) noSQL databases
• Experience working with Tableau to create dashboards
• Comfortable working in a small team/startup environment
• Self-starter, flexible and able to work on tight deadlines
• Empathetic, curious and open-minded

Desirable

• Experience working for social enterprise / NGO / charitable organisation
• Bachelor's degree in a related or relevant field
• Knowledge of python or similar programming language

Job Title: Data Analyst

Reports to: Head of Information (UK-based)

Contract: 6 month Part-Time (2 or 3 days a week) consultancy with possibility to extend

Location: UK, Kenya, Peru (remote)
