Job functions

We are seeking a visionary Founding Data Scientist/Machine Learning Engineer to lead all things AI/ML in Lilo. This role is more than technical expertise; it's about pioneering and steering our data science capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop advanced algorithms for catalog optimization
  • Build predictive models for supplier performance, product recommendations, and customer purchasing behavior
  • Collaborate with various teams to understand the unique needs of the hotel procurement sector and devise technical solutions
  • Spearhead the machine learning strategy, overseeing the full lifecycle from design to deployment
  • Implement best practices for data management, ensuring accuracy and integrity in our models
  • Mentor a growing team, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous learning

Qualifications and requirements

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Machine Learning, or related field.
  • C1 or above proficiency in English (written and oral).
  • Proven experience in machine learning, data science, or a similar role.
  • Expertise in Python, R, or similar programming languages and machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.) as well as search (e.g., Elasticsearch).
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
  • Experience in building scalable machine learning models and data-driven products.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
