Job Details:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Short-Term Senior Network Engineer with a strong background in both network infrastructure and systems administration to support operations in North Carolina and New York. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, fluent in English, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support network infrastructure including Meraki switches and access points.
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot SonicWall firewalls.
  • Administer and optimize Microsoft Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy environments.
  • Provide support for systems and identity services in Azure.
  • Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and security reviews across network and systems.
  • Support end-users and infrastructure across multiple locations in the Eastern US.
  • Collaborate with other IT staff to implement best practices for network performance and security.
  • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery plans are tested and functional.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of professional experience in network engineering and/or systems administration.
  • Proven hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki networking gear (switches, APs).
  • In-depth experience managing and securing SonicWall firewalls.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and user administration.
  • Familiarity with Azure AD, VM management, or hybrid identity environments.
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
  • Available to work Eastern Time Zone hours consistently.

Preferred:

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, MCSA/MCSE, Azure Fundamentals).
  • Experience supporting multi-location, mid-size organizations.
  • Experience with ITIL, ticketing systems, and remote support tools.
