OpenLoop is looking for a Software Engineer II to join our team in Lima, Peru. This role will be a member of the Solutions & Data Team. This team plays a crucial role in developing the technology that supports these initiatives, ensuring our platform operates smoothly while meeting the needs of users in the healthcare community.

This position will work closely with several of our U.S. teams, therefore advanced communication skills in English are required (both written and verbal).

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Software Development and Architecture: We expect you to write code using at least one programming paradigm, design basic functions while being aware of the overall service architecture, and prevent duplication across codebases and interface-breaking changes.
  • Project Impact and Responsibility: You will participate and assist Senior Engineers in designing and deploying projects that have a significant impact on our services.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Collaborating closely with internal business users will be essential as you translate their specific requirements and use cases into functional applications.
  • Continuous Improvement and Operation: Your role will involve identifying systematic issues and refactoring them in a specific tech stack as part of our commitment to ongoing improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

This position will work a hybrid schedule, working Tuesdays & Thursdays onsite, and Mondays, Wednesday & Fridays, working remote,

Office hours are 9:00am - 6:00pm

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer; candidates with a Solutions Engineer title are also welcome.
  • 2 years of experience with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), preferably with AWS Cloud.
  • Experience with DevOps responsibilities
  • 2 years of hands-on experience with the Development Kit (CDK) for deploying cloud infrastructure.
  • Proficient in TypeScript and Node.js with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git, along with the ability to use GitHub Actions.
  • 1 year of experience in Frontend development using React.
  • 2 years of experience working with both relational and non-relational databases.
  • Advanced level English is required

Ideal candidates will possess strong problem-solving skills, the ability to present ideas clearly, and a great ability for diagnosing complex technical issues.
