You will own the migration of a legacy tax platform into a modern, high-performance WordPress architecture — from the ground up. This means designing secure custom authentication flows connected to AWS RDS, building the infrastructure to handle peak traffic without breaking a sweat, and bringing AI into the product through intelligent search, personalization engines, and conversational interfaces powered by LLM APIs.

Key Responsibilities

Lead migration from legacy Aestiva platform to WordPress while ensuring complete data integrity and operational continuity
Architect and build a custom login system integrated with AWS RDS for secure user authentication
Implement AI-powered capabilities including smart content search, personalization engines, automated tagging/categorization via LLM APIs, and conversational chatbots/virtual assistants
Optimize WordPress infrastructure for high-traffic conditions using advanced caching, CDN configuration, and security hardening
Mentor on AI tooling adoption and leverage GitHub Copilot/Cursor to accelerate development, code review, and documentation workflows
Own deployment automation and CI/CD pipelines to maintain high availability and smooth release cycles

Experience and Skills

5+ years of production experience
Advanced WordPress development including custom plugin and theme development
Strong PHP proficiency with deep expertise in plugin architecture and theme customization
Experience connecting WordPress to external databases (AWS RDS, MySQL/PostgreSQL)
Proven track record designing and implementing custom authentication flows and login logic
Hands-on experience integrating AI/LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, HuggingFace) into web applications or CMS platforms
Daily use of AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Tabnine)
Deep knowledge of WordPress performance optimization, caching strategies, CDN implementation, and security best practices
C1 English level or higher
